Rogicha - Ethiopia

Our newest Ethiopian offering is from the small hamlet of Rogicha, in the Guji Zone of Ethiopia. This stunning natural comes from a private processing station near Bule Hora in the highlands not too far from towns like Yirgacheffe and Chelelektu. Around 1,500 farmers bring their cherry to be processed where it dries on raised beds for nearly three weeks. With the first sip you can immediately get a sense of the care and attention given to this coffee. Some people can get the impression that a lot of natural processed Ethiopian coffees are very blueberry forward, this one is not the case. We get big strawberry - kiwi notes, which follow up as a sweet, sweet fruit punch, and end as a floral black tea. If you love naturals you'll love Rogicha!
